Durham Community Action supports Voluntary and Community organisations to build connections and partnerships across the health system with particular focus on organisations that deliver health and wellbeing workstreams across County Durham.
We represent the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector on Health and Wellbeing Forums and Networks locally, regionally and nationally.
We also facilitate regular networks for Social Prescribing Links Workers (SPLW) and Wellbeing Link Worker Networks across County Durham.
Since the introduction of the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) in 2022, VONNE has represented the VCSE sector as a regional strategic partner. They coordinate a number of health and wellbeing programmes and projects across the region and host a range of networks. We work closely with VONNE and other colleagues within the system.
